Last night she asked. “Why do you expect so much from me?” I responded, “Who is John Galt?” The truth is that she needs someone to believe in her the right way. Her parents seem so negative and I think I’m in a good position to be a positive influence. I’m young enough for her to see me as a friend and not just a manager. This is the first time I’ve felt like I’m able to actually help someone, and it’s a good feeling. I can be a bossy person, it’s totally in my nature, but she’s bringing out good qualities in me. I’m a nurturer to her and it’s nice. I expect a lot, but I know she has it in her, and I don’t have it in me to be mean with my expectations. I like this.
