Work
I worked 12-10 yesterday then came hme and couldn’t sleep until after I finished the to-do list for today. It was two pages long. 5 hours of sleep later I head to work extra early to get stuff done. I call my servers and bring them in late to save on labor. I juggled deliveries, cleaning, payroll, the corporate package, invoices and my endless list. I somehow got most of my morning duties done in a timely fashion. I kept so busy that I didn’t even get breakfast until about 4 PM. I got a lot done, but holy crap that list will be the end of me! Corporate called to check on me about the news my GM broke on Saturday. not sure whether I seem like a whiny brat and he’s trying to get me to shut up or if hs trying to keep me happy because he knows all I do. I’m confident that if/when I leave the store will struggle a bit. I checked craigslist for part-time jobs, I mainly want a gig twice a week in a bar, a safety net of savings just in case the economy gets *that* bad. I check the company website expecting no opportunities. I’m nicely surprised to see a managerial position open in the branch of the company I’ve been hoping to move to. My GM knows my goals and says he wants to set me up to be prepared for a move… this branch is a big step up. I don’t meet the length requirements, but I have so much I’ve accomplished, from 100% shopper reports to 100% health inspections, etc. I’ve worked my butt off! Let’s hope my branch’s VP feels the same. That reminds me, I shoyld update the old resume…
