The Dark Knight
Don’t go with high hopes. I will grant that Heath Ledger did his part frighteningly well. I teared up at his appearance but, by the end, was unable to see the actor behind. Without him the movie would have been a waste. Maggie looks like hell, Two-Face lingered in the shadows of the Joker and Batman and what started out as a very appealing movie quickly disappointed. Towards the end it seems that the energy was lost. I think what bothered me most about this was the repetition and Two-Face… reminiscent of an over-told inside joke that was never really funny to begin with. It was a good movie, but undeserving of all the money that will come its way. I say this without bias of his death, but Heath truly did a good job. I did not see him in the movie. His untimely death does show an unnerving similarity to the movie. More later, I don’t want to spoil it too much.
